This past weekend (Memorial weekend) we drove down and spent Friday through Monday at my dad's in Springfield, MO. Hannah had her first trip to Bass Pro on Saturday and we got her a cute little hat. On Sunday we spent the afternoon at the Battlefield Mall and Hannah made her first trip to Build-A-Bear. After showing her several bears/animals she choose a black bear so we stuffed him and named him "Boo Boo" (which was my Dad's nickname as a kid). she was super excited the entire time in Build-A-Bear, however after about and hour or so of shopping, she fell asleep and slept for about 45 mins in her stroller. We drove home Monday afternoon/evening and took a different route, and accidentally stumbled upon the most twisted/curvy road in Kansas, so we won't be going that way ever again.
Hannah has been eating solid food for a couple of weeks, she really likes rice cereal and she occasionally gets so excited while eating that it ends up going everywhere. We tried introducing oatmeal last night, but I have a feeling it's going to take a few feedings before she likes it as much as she likes the rice cereal. We have Hannah's 4 month Dr visit and shots on Friday so, fingers crossed that it goes well because the last time she screamed and screamed and it took Elliott, myself and a nurse to hold her down so she could get them. However I hoping Dr. D gives us the thumbs up for vegetables and fruits, because Hannah is eating 6 1/2 to 7 ounces of formula at a meal or about a tablespoon of cereal and 4 ounces of formula per feeding and I'm sure she's double her birth weight even though Ell and i haven't weighed her in several weeks.
I haven't be very disciplined with the Your Baby Can Read program seeing as we did none of it this weekend or yesterday, but Hannah watched 90% of the disc today without being distracted or fussing, and during the first 5 minutes of it she was giggling and cooing, so I think she at least enjoys part of it. I'm gonna try and have her watch it tomorrow and possibly Friday before we leave for Sterling (to go to the Dr and Rachel Splitter's Wedding). Then I'll try to have her watch it 1 to 2 times a day over the weekend, or I can have Elliott do it with her. I'm just glad she's showing some interest in it.
Well, Miss Hannah is starting to fuss and it's time for a nap. I'll try to keep posting, but until then, Adios!

Daily Life and Your Baby Can Read
I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything, and sorry to whoever reads this and checks it out every once in a while. Things have been busy and we're always going from place to place (our gas budget is shot) and I don't disipline myself enough to write in this regularly.
Hannah and I's usual day starts anytime between 6 am and 10 am. She eats/drinks a 6 1/2 oz bottle and then I change her diaper and play with her for anout 15 to 30 minutes. Then we lie down for a nap in the bedroom, Hannah fits perfectly into the divot on Elliott's side of the bed. Hannah takes about a 4 hour nap and I get maybe 2 (cause I watch a little TV in the bedrom around this time). Then Hannah downs another 6 1/2 oz bottle. Then I change her and get her dressed for the day. Then we go into the TV room and I lay her down on her playmat and let her play for a little while or I sit her in her bouncer infront of the TV and she watches Your Baby Can Read. She's been watching the Starter disc since sunday and it really holds her intrest now. She likes the song breaks in it, especially Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. I'll try to keep updates on the Your Baby Can Read Program as we go along, she'll be watching the Starter disc for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
After playing/watching the Y.B.C.R disc I usually have to change her again, then she either lounges in her swing or bouncer for a while and then takes a short nap (30 mins or so). Then I usually have to change her again and then we play for a while before it's chow time. This is also the time in which Elliott comes home from work, so one of us feeds her and then changes her. We've been feeding her rice cereal usually at this meal of the day or the next (around 8-9pm).
Elliott or I make dinner for us anytime between 6-8pm and we take turns playing with/taking care of Hannah for the rest of the day. She's a really easy baby, she likes car rides, she sleeps an average of 8 hours a night and she can hold her head up very well, she can roll from her stomach to her back and roll back to stomach, as a matter of fact she's doing that right now on her play mat. Every other night Ell or I give her a bath and then everynight before bed we give her a bottle and then put her down to sleep anytime between 10 pm and midnight. She goes to sleep in about 30 minutes and then Ell and I go to bed and then we start again in the morning.
